Lana del Rey
Whether she was manufactured or not, Lana del Rey has potential staying-power regardless.
Her nickname “gangster Nancy Sinatra” is accurate, in both beauty and fashion sensibility, but in vocal talent as well. Her husky sounding voice comes from another era, and her melancholic-sounding music has some of the most interesting lyrics I’ve heard in a while. After all, who else can write a hit about blue jeans or diet mountain dew?
