Lucy’s Christmas Wishlist

I said it last year and I’ll say it again, I LOVE making lists.  Naturally, the holiday season is the perfect opportunity for me to relish in this habit and put it to full use.  Remember last season when Lesley and I listed our realistic and unrealistic Christmas wishes? Well, we thought we’d have back at it. Hopefully Santa takes a hint. If not, we’ll probably just treat ourselves anyway.

1) Vans Authentic Skate Shoe in Lime Green – $44.99

The neon trend bumps the fashion world up a notch in a weird and wonderful way.  In my world, weird (within limits) is good, and an electric pop of color in footwear or accessories is a perfect way to rock this trend and not overdo it.  Plus, you can’t go wrong with classic Vans Skate Shoes…I already have a few pairs and wear ‘em to death.

2) Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette – $50

If you’re a beauty junkie like myself, you might recall the madness caused by UD’s first version of the Naked Palette (we’re talking out-the-door lines and waiting lists backed up for months).  Like it’s predecessor, Naked 2 features an array of universally flattering shades designed to shape, darken and brighten eyes to create a variety of looks for night and day.  The difference between the two? Naked 2‘s shades are a tad bit warmer and much more matte.  Since I missed out on the brand’s first version (and I love gold and bronze on my eyes), I’m hoping to give this a try!

3) G4 Professional Fabric Steamer – $159

For some reason, I have always loved ironing.  I remember asking my mom if I could help her with this task on a regular basis, even going so far as to ask my brothers if I could be the one to iron creases in their khakis (a service now long-gone hahaha).  Flash forward years later and I’m working in retail….I’m asked to steam some silk blazers and the rest is history.  I fell in love.  I couldn’t believe how one device could magically cause wrinkles to vanish with a single swipe.  From that point on, I coveted a professional steamer but could never bring myself to splurge on it…plus a college dorm wasn’t exactly the best place to fit one (in fact it might have even been illegal).  A few summers ago I purchased a handheld steamer at Bed Bath & Beyond which basically just spurted hot water….I ain’t making that mistake again! This steamer from G4 seems to fit the bill – i.e. durable and PROFESSIONAL.  This is a must for someone in the fashion industry, or simply a garment perfectionist.

4) Joe’s Jeans ‘Chelsea’ Skinny Leopard Jeans – $170

My obsession with all things leopard seems to be getting worse.  There’s nothing I can really do to stop it so oh well…..what’s one thing my leopard collection is lacking? A pair of jeans! These ones by Joe’s look pretty rad.

5) Floral Doc Martens – $130

These floral Docs are SO awesomely grungey-femme.  I could rock them with literally anything, but ripped tights and shorts create an unadulterated vision of 90′s perfection.  I’ve wanted them since fall and so they’re goin’ on the list.

What’s on your lists this year?? Christmas is approaching and FAST.

XOXO

Lucy
