Elie Saab Spring 2012 Couture
At the risk of sounding like I’m betraying the goddess of all things bridal, Vera Wang, I’ve come to realize the potential Elie Saab’s designs have for my future wedding.
His designs this season, as ever, are something out of a girl’s fantasy. They are as airy as if they were woven by the hands of fairies themselves. Delicate and sparkling, but organic and lightweight. The gowns are extraordinarily complex, with full skirts, sheer fabrics, and hand-sewn beading, yet maintain a simplicity and ease that makes them easy to wear.
