Draw in Light
Quick late night post — just got back from a business trip to Minneapolis.
Don’t you love how it’s not even summer yet, and every one is already bringing up the subject of fall clothing?
That’s the beauty of fashion — the fast-paced, ever-changing, always-marching-forward attitude I love. And that’s the nature of my own self as well. Sometimes I wonder if I wear so many chains and heavy rings to keep me grounded, because I’m always planning a head and flying off hurriedly into new ideas without really thinking about them first.
I stumbled across this beautiful new British brand Draw In Light on Facebook — a friend of a friend liked their page, or something like that, you know how that works.
I can’t get over how gorgeous this is. The heavy dark fabrics look dramatic, but easy to pull off and extremely wearable, due to the minimal, slouchy silhouettes. The free-hand silk-screen techniques used to create the clothes require a process that leaves each garment truly unique.
I, for one, have the black over-sized t-shirt with the bones at the top of my mental wish list.
xox,
Lesley
